The Manitoba Federation of Independent Schools is the umbrella organization for funded, not-for-profit independent schools.
Our Mission
To support and encourage high educational standards and the values unique to our various school communities and to represent the interest and concerns of independent schools in Manitoba.
Since 1974, MFIS has represented independent schools that reflect the culture and beliefs of Manitoba’s diverse communities, today numbering over 16,000 students in 53 Manitoba schools. I invite you to explore this site to learn more.
